To support more efficient daily workflows, Bloorview Kids Rehab in Ontario upgraded its laboratory workstations. By implementing Rousseau’s modular solutions—featuring a wide range of accessories—the clinic created a highly organized environment with improved storage and accessibility.
As part of a move to a new facility, Bloorview needed a functional workspace where laboratory technicians could easily access tools and equipment while benefiting from increased storage capacity.
Design an ergonomic, efficient workspace within the available footprint while significantly expanding storage.
Rousseau partnered with Metric Storage Systems to deliver a tailored solution for Bloorview’s new clinical technology building. The department, occupying approximately 3,000 square feet on the 4th floor, required upgraded workstations to replace existing equipment and support the production of prosthetics for children and adolescents.
The installation included:
According to the project consultant at Bloorview, the result was an ergonomic workspace where tools are always within reach, enhancing technicians’ day-to-day efficiency.
Despite tight timelines, Rousseau successfully delivered the project without compromising quality or specifications. The transition into the new building was seamless, and the upgraded layout provided both expanded storage and increased workspace.
The final design also improved the lab’s overall appearance. A midnight blue color scheme added a clean, professional aesthetic, while integrated lighting, overhead accessories, and drawer systems further optimized usability.
Rousseau’s modular and flexible solutions played a key role in the project’s success, allowing Bloorview to create a workspace fully aligned with the needs of its laboratory technicians.
