Pallet Rack Safety Systems

Keeping Workspace Safer and Products More Secure.

Warehouses and Industrial buildings contain pallet rack storage systems. They may have different designs but they are there to keep items organized and to provide additional storage space by utilizing the height of the warehouse by storing vertically. A Pallet Rack Safety storage system is needed.

Warehouse rack guarding systems are designed to prevent products from falling off a bay of racking and landing on a passerby. Brackets allow for varying offsets and systems can be designed to go above the highest bay, ensuring proper coverage and safety. This hard guarding provides a rigid stop for stored materials, unlike industrial netting which is designed to catch materials. The steel mesh also prevents balanced loads from falling through. Another protection advantage of installing wire mesh partitions is that it secures objects from falling off racks, conveyors, or other elevated platforms. These partitions insulate your products from damage as well as guarding for your people and facility against unwanted accidents.

Wire mesh rack safety systems can also keep your company NFPA compliant. By attaching steel mesh panels to the inside of back-to-back uprights, the panels keep the space open allowing flames to vent up rather than out creating a vertical rise helping to slow down the horizontal spread. Sprinklers can reach burning material without obstruction.

Wire mesh panels and doors can also be configured to fully enclose bays of rack. Pallet rack enclosures provide controlled access to high-cost items as well as combustible or otherwise hazardous materials.

We can help you secure, guard, and protect your valuable products.. We have a solution to fit any situation—whether you need protection from theft or accidental damage in a warehouse, factory or store, we can help.

We can provide lockers and cages that meet and exceed all US Drug Enforcement Administration’s (DEA) requirements for physical security of Schedule III through V of controlled substances as outlined in Title 21 CFR Sections 1301.72-1301.76.

Pallet Rack Safety System Backing with Wire Mesh Panels

Protect workers and equipment from falling items with pallet rack backing panels. The wire mesh panels bolt directly to the back of your existing pallet rack uprights creating a sturdy barrier between stored items and the ground below.

Benefits

Constant Accident Prevention
Durable all welded angle frame wire mesh panels give constant protection from falling items. Pallet rack  panels prevent spillage, while also stopping items from falling into aisle ways, therefore protecting personnel while containing inventory.

The RackBack® Pallet Rack Backing System is made of 2″ x 2″ x 10 gauge steel welded wire mesh, welded into a 1 1/4″ x 1 1/4″ x 13 gauge steel angle frame. Panels have predrilled mounting holes on six inch centers and are provided with flush mount or offset brackets to allow for pallets that overhang the beams.

Our “Above the Top” kit allows panels to extend above the rack to contain loads stored on top beam. Custom sizes for the RackBack® Pallet Rack Backing System are available.

  • Key RackBack® Features
  • Standard sized panels 4′-0″ or 5′-0″ high, match beam length in width.
  • Custom size panels available.
  • Panels made of 2″ x 2″ x 10 gauge welded wire mesh.
  • Flat steel stiffeners welded behind mesh for extra rigidity.
  • Pallet Rack Backing System Panels attach directly to rack with mounting brackets.
  • Multiple attachment points (seven) on ends of each panel.
  • Offset brackets allow for load to overhang rack beams.
  • Stack RackBack® panels one on top of the other to reach desired height.
  • “Above the Top” mounting allows panels to extend above top rack beam.
  • Angle frame design gives installer clear access to hardware, speeding installation.
  • Assembly hardware is inaccessible from the exterior of the partition.
  • Standard 3/8″ assembly hardware is the heaviest in the industry.
  • RackBack® Pallet Rack Backing System may be started at the floor or at any level where protection is required.
  • Pallet rack safety system backing panels can be mounted to support posts-if stand alone system desired.
  • Heavier options available.

Pallet Rack Enclosures

Pallet Rack Safety System Enclosures Secure Inventory

Secure inventory and the contents of existing pallet racks while preventing inventory shrinkage with pallet rack enclosures. Existing facility pallet racks can be completely enclosed with standard wire mesh panels and doors to secure and control high value inventory. Modular sized wire mesh panels are quick to install and are inherently stronger than competing pallet rack enclosing systems.

Pallet Rack Safety System will control access and help prevent theft of your high value inventory items. A complete pallet rack enclosure consists of wire mesh panels on the back, ends, and top of the rack, with access doors on the front side.

Secure Inventory with Pallet Rack Enclosure Doors

In order to convert existing pallet racks into a secure storage enclosure, doors are required for the front. Any bay of an existing pallet rack can be turned into a secure storage area.  These double-hinge doors bolt directly to the rack uprights with simple hand tools. The enclosure doors come equipped with a padlock lug.

Sliding doors may be the most popular type of pallet rack enclosure door.  When multiple bays of pallet racks are side by side, these sliding doors mount on a double track system and allow one door to slide out of the way in front of the other door. Unlike double hinge doors, sliding doors use minimal aisle space and are ideal for areas with smaller aisle clearance.

  • Key Pallet Rack Enclosure Features
  • Standard sized panels 4′-0″ or 5′-0″ high, match beam length in width.
  • Panels made of 2″ x 2″ x 10 gauge welded wire mesh-other meshes available.
  • Panels are framed in 1 1/4″ x 1 1/4″ x 13 gauge steel angle.
  • Panels attach directly to rack with mounting brackets.
  • Multiple mounting points (seven) on ends of each panel.
  • Stack panels one on top of the other to reach desired height.
  • Access racks via double sliding doors, or double hinged doors.
  • “Above the Top” mounting allows panels to extend above top rack beam.
  • Welded wire construction allows for field modifications that look factory-finished.
  • Panels can be mounted to support posts if stand alone system desired.
  • Heavier options available.
